Microtest shortlisted for ‘Best Family Business’ award - Tech Cornwall

Microtest has been shortlisted for the Western Morning News Business Awards 2018. The company, which has offices in Bodmin and Plymouth, has been selected as a finalist in the “Best Family Business” category.

This is the second time they have been recognised by the Western Morning News Business Awards, having won the ‘Best Family Business’ category in 2017.

Microtest are one of the UK’s leading suppliers of clinical IT systems for the NHS, with customers across England and the Channel Islands. In recent months, they have also won significant new business in Wales, having been awarded a valuable contract as one of only two approved suppliers of clinical IT systems to NHS surgeries in Wales.

The company currently holds the title of national ‘IT Provider of the Year’ in the General Practice Awards.

Chris Netherton, MD of Microtest said: “We are thrilled to have been shortlisted for this prestigious award. Although we operate at the cutting edge of technology innovation, traditional family values are at the very heart of the company. This is, for example, reflected in the emphasis we place on personal customer service and nurturing a supportive, creative company culture.”

Two generations of the Netherton family are driving the business forward. Chris is joined by his sons, ‘Stuff’ Netherton, who heads up software development, and Tristan Netherton, who heads up the sales department.

The Western Morning News Awards are designed to promote excellence in the business community in the South West of England. The full shortlist can be viewed at: https://www.devonlive.com/news/business/13-best-businesses-devon-cornwall-2109374
