About Tech Cornwall

Tech Cornwall is a purpose-led organisation working to grow Cornwall’s tech community through innovation, education, and collaboration. We support people into digital careers, empower businesses, and bring the community together through events, training, and strategic partnerships.

To support us in our mission, we focus on three main delivery areas:

Our Youth Programme helps to inspire the next generation to pursue tech careers in Cornwall through community code clubs, career-focused assemblies, and work experiences like our award-winning Mission to Mars. We’re advancing a digitally fluent generation by partnering with almost all educational institutions across Cornwall.

Our Tech Academy provides high-quality training and workshops, offering courses in cutting-edge technologies, empowering tech professionals with essential skills, facilitating career transitions into tech, and fostering a vibrant and knowledgeable tech community.

Our Events Programme brings our community together. Whether it’s support and networking for leaders of local companies, meetups for software developers, conferences for startups, code clubs for learners or social events, we’ll bring our network together for collaboration and fresh ideas and a friendly and supportive atmosphere.

Our Purpose:
To improve social mobility and the economy in Cornwall.

Our Values:
Inclusive: Everyone is welcome in our diverse and dynamic community. Guided by our principle to be excellent to each other, we create a supportive environment where all voices are heard, respected, and celebrated.

Collaborative: We believe in the power of collaboration over competition. Together, we can achieve more and elevate the entire tech ecosystem in Cornwall.

People focused/community: Through our actions, we cultivate a supportive environment and network, prioritising teamwork, celebrating success, and leveraging our skills to create opportunities for others.

Authenticity/Integrity: We act with honesty, openness, and consistency in everything we do and endeavour to always choose what’s right over what’s easy.

The art of the possible: We will stay curious, keep an open mind, consider possibility without restriction and champion knowledge-sharing for the benefit of all.
