Please note, this position is office-based in Truro, Cornwall.

We are searching for a Database Administrator to expand our valued Data team, based in Truro. In this role, you will collaborate with our Technology and Business teams, focusing on the upkeep and development of our database infrastructure and ensuring the security and integrity of our data. You’ll play a pivotal role in executing our data strategy, helping to implement an Azure cloud data architecture while maintaining top-notch service delivery for our Members.

Brief, preliminary interviews – to shortlist candidates – will take place online on Monday 27th April. Subsequent in-person interviews will be held at our Truro office on Wednesday 29th and Thursday 30th April.

All interview timeslots will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Developing and maintaining MS SQL Server environments
  • Experience with Azure or similar cloud environments (desirable)
  • Knowledge of stored procedures, their development and maintenance
  • Developing and maintaining SSIS & SSRS packages Use of Service Broker and Triggers
  • Understanding and experience of industry standard techniques, platforms and practices
  • Database analysis, design and development skills
  • Experience of developing with either C# or PHP (desirable)
  • Experience of working on Linux and Windows server environments (desirable)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

 

Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Maintaining the security, integrity and availability of our data
  • Working to improving the quality of our data
  • Contributing to data governance across the business 
  • Assisting in the identification of business issues, seeking appropriate solutions
  • Keeping up to date with industry standards and developments, as well as the company’s objectives
