Cornwall’s Festival of Tech is back for 2025! A two-week celebration of technology, digital innovation, and software development in our region. From 15th to 28th February 2025, join us across Cornwall for a series of events designed to inspire, educate, and connect our vibrant tech community.
What is Cornwall’s Festival of Tech?
It’s 2 weeks packed with all things Tech in Cornwall. With events taking place across the county, the festival brings together businesses, families, professionals, and tech hobbyists to explore the latest in technology and showcase the region’s thriving tech scene. From hands-on workshops and inspiring talks to exciting community-led activities, the Festival of Tech is all about connecting people and highlighting the role of technology in shaping Cornwall’s future.
Why We’re Hosting the Festival
Cornwall has a rich history of innovation, from the first transatlantic radio signal to being the first European location to launch a rocket into space. Today, we are home to one of the fastest-growing tech clusters in the UK. The Festival aims to showcase this sector, encourage collaboration, and inspire the next generation of tech enthusiasts.
How to Get Involved
The festival is by the community, for the community! We invite individuals, businesses, and community groups to participate:
- Host an Event: Share your expertise by organising a workshop, talk, or demo. Submit your event to be included in our ‘What’s On’ guide.
- Apply for an Event Grant: We offer grants of £1,000 to support up to 20 organisations in hosting tech-focused events. Whether it’s a meetup, hackathon, or ‘come and try’ day, we encourage creative ideas that engage the community.
- Volunteer: Gain valuable experience and contribute to the success of the Festival by volunteering. Opportunities are flexible and open to all with an interest in tech.
A highlight of the Festival is the BIG Cornish Tech Showcase on 27th February 2025 at the Atlantic Hotel in Newquay. This flagship event will feature an expo of local tech companies, talks from digital transformation experts, and brilliant networking opportunities. You can get involved in the tech showcase by:
- Exhibiting – Get in front of a local audience with approximately £3.5 million* worth of digital budget by exhibiting at the The BIG Cornish Tech Showcase.(*Based on 2024 attendees).
- Speaking – Apply for a 15 minute speaker slot on our vendor track. This is ideal if you want to talk about an innovative product / process or a way your company is helping solve technical problems for their customers and stakeholders (why not invite them to be part of your talk).
- Sponsoring – Put your brand in the spotlight and connect with the Cornish tech community.
- Attending – come along and be a part of the highlight of the tech events calendar. Stay Tuned for More Events
