Positioning, Navigation and Timing (PNT) Masterclass

Tuesday 22 03 2022 @ 9:15 am - 4:15 pm

Free

Join the Royal Institute of Navigation for a UK Space Agency-funded masterclass in resilient PNT. This course is open to all and designed for those who want to find out how to bring positioning and/or timing information into their application or data-based service, from drones to communications to shipping and anything in between.

truroThe primary objective of the workshop will be to raise awareness and understanding of the performance and limitations of positioning and timing systems; and to provide information on steps to take to improve performance and resilience.

In addition, the workshop will include a look at positioning and timing sources including new approaches such as low-earth-orbit (LEO) satellite constellations and other “sensors of opportunity” such as cameras and audio.

Who is it for?

This course is designed to be educational and informative for those who need to bring positioning and/or timing information into their application or data-based service. This would include, for example, use of PNT in drones, autonomous vehicles, communications, integration of positioning data for analytics, airports, ports and other infrastructure / logistics.

The course is also applicable for anyone wanting to improve knowledge and skills PNT generally.
