Tech Connect events offer the perfect opportunity to engage with our members as well as the wider community. They can include a mixture of talks, workshops and some guided networking.

January’s outing features a talk from the Purpose 3D team and some guided discussions and networking, facilitated by Niki from the Software Cornwall team.

Purpose 3D are a tech start-up from the Launchpad Programme at Falmouth University, that specialise in the visualisation of Vintage and Historical clothing. Using Photogrammetry, the models created are authentic, good quality and fit for your purpose. With the models being formatted fit for commercial use in games development, education, fashion design and to help museum display their garments in a new and innovative way, the possibilities are endless.

In this talk, Amy & Natalia will help the audience to peer behind the curtain of Purpose 3D, diving into some of the challenges they face in combining cutting edge technologies and vintage clothing.
