Last week, Software Cornwall held a fun event – the first ever #TechConnectLate at the Old Ale House in Truro. Free to our members, the event saw a fantastic turnout of developers and industry experts from the region. The evening pub atmosphere was buzzing with energy as attendees networked over the most delicious pizza from OYes Pizzeria!
Attendees had the opportunity to hear Olaf Marshall-Whitley talk about floating wind power and the astonishingly enormous blades on the offshore turbines, then we heard from Katie Dumont and her diverse range of skills showcased in all the things she makes for the youtube channel: https://www.youtube.com/@element14presents and finally it was Tom Hazeldine’s turn to demonstrate his awesome modular synth and how it turns white noise into incredible music that got everyone grooving to the beat!
All in all, the talks, conversations and not forgetting the retro Mario Kart competition made for an entertaining evening that everyone enjoyed.
