Contract: Permanent, Full Time

We are a long-established group of self-catering holiday-letting agencies, managing a large portfolio of premium holiday homes across the UK. Our brands include Aspects Holidays, Boutique Retreats, Classic Cottages, Grandeur Property, Island Escapes, and Unique Hideaways.

Technology plays a central role in how we operate and grow. We’re looking for a .NET Web Developer with a passion for building well-crafted web solutions to join our established development team.

About the role

You’ll be joining a skilled and collaborative team, working across a suite of mature, high-traffic ecommerce websites alongside our bespoke CMS and supporting systems.

Your work will focus on building and improving customer-facing features, enhancing site performance and visibility through effective SEO practices, and helping improve conversion and retention through the design and delivery of clear, accessible UI & UX.

We work predominantly within the Microsoft Azure ecosystem, making use of cloud services, CI/CD pipelines, and modern development practices. We place a strong emphasis on developer experience to reduce low-value work and enable the team to focus on delivering high-quality outcomes.

As an in-house team, we care deeply about the long-term sustainability of our software. We prioritise quality over quantity, with an agile mindset of delivering early, iterating often, and continuously improving. While this role does not carry senior or lead responsibilities, there is scope to contribute to technical and architectural discussions as part of the wider team.

You’ll be involved throughout the full software development lifecycle, from discovery and specification through to development, testing, and deployment, with real ownership over the systems you help build.

What we’re looking for

We’re looking for a motivated developer with a solid foundation in web development and a genuine interest in building maintainable, well-structured software. We value curiosity, collaboration, and a willingness to learn just as much as specific technologies.

Key strengths for this role include:

  • Around 2+ years’ commercial experience working with .NET
  • A good understanding of accessible, maintainable web design principles
  • Experience working with Microsoft SQL Server, T-SQL, and .NET ORMs (such as Entity Framework)
  • Confidence using source control as part of a team
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines for automated testing, builds, and deployment
  • The ability to work independently while actively contributing to a collaborative team environment

Technologies we use

You don’t need experience with everything listed below. We’re more interested in strong fundamentals and a willingness to learn. Support and training are available to help you grow your skills.

Backend & Web

  • .NET technologies (.NET Framework, MVC, Web API, Blazor)
  • HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
  • Asset compilation tooling (e.g. SCSS, Webpack, Grunt)

Cloud & DevOps

  • Microsoft Azure
  • Azure DevOps

Design & Analytics

  • Figma
  • Azure Application Insights
  • Google Analytics, Tag Manager, Search Console, and Ads

Learning & development

Training and skills development are integral to how we work. You’ll have ongoing access to online learning platforms, in-person training opportunities, and the freedom to upskill within projects by exploring new tools and technologies.

Working with us

You’ll be based in our modern, purpose-designed office in Hayle, built to support collaboration and focused work, with the flexibility to work remotely up to two days per week. We’re proud to support and grow local tech talent in Cornwall and are therefore looking for candidates already within commuting distance of our office.

A generous package is on offer for the right candidate with benefits including a performance related bonus, 33 days holiday, an extra day off for your birthday, 10% skills development time, and access to our employee assistance program.

Please note

  • We are not accepting applications from agencies or recruiters
  • This role is not open to relocation or fully remote working
