IT Support Technician

£26,000 - £30,000 depending on skills and experience

We are looking for an IT Support Technician to work in-person from our Truro office, offering IT support across the business and to all departments. Our IT Support team are the first point of contact for colleagues who require assistance with technical issues. 

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

•    Previous IT Support experience.
•    Ability to build and maintain PC and server hardware.
•    Ability to install, maintain and troubleshoot current Microsoft operating systems and Office applications.
•    Ability to triage and investigate issues, escalating where appropriate.
•    An understanding of messaging and data communication technology (e.g. Email, Networking).
•    Analytical skills.
•    Proficiency in operating systems such as Windows and Linux.
•    Experience working with telephony and printers. 
•    Organisational, problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
•    Good written and verbal communication skills – ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical colleagues, and to create clear, detailed documentation.
•    Comp TIA A+ qualification (or similar) or willingness to study towards a qualification would be advantageous.

RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

•    Providing IT support via telephone, Microsoft Teams, email and face-to-face, across the organisation, to maintain the required standard of infrastructure and services.
•    Monitoring and prioritising tickets received on the company’s IT service desk.
•    Creating/deleting user accounts.
•    Assisting with IT training for new colleagues.
•    Maintaining the company’s IT network, software and hardware in line with industry standards and regulations. 
•    Working with external IT suppliers/support teams to resolve issues as necessary.
•    Contributing to projects and roll-outs as required. 
•    Identifying and delivering improvements and enhancements of our IT services, for the benefit of both of our Members and our colleagues.
