Tech Cornwall, in partnership with Canopy Community, is inviting entrepreneurs, startups, and innovators from across the southwest to present their ideas at the upcoming Demo Night taking place in Truro this June.
The event is designed to support early-stage innovation by providing a platform for individuals to showcase new products, concepts, and digital solutions, while gaining valuable feedback and building connections within Cornwall’s business and technology ecosystem.
With startup failure rates remaining high in the early years, Demo Night aims to address this challenge by fostering collaboration, encouraging critical feedback, and creating space for ideas to evolve through real-world input.
The event will see founders present their ideas, creating opportunities for people to test and develop ideas in a supportive environment is key to building a strong innovation economy.
By working with Canopy Community, we’re bringing together a diverse audience that can offer meaningful insight, challenge thinking, and help ideas move forward.
Holly Patton, Director, Tech Cornwall
The evening will see founders present their ideas, products, or services to a dynamic audience of investors, industry professionals, and fellow entrepreneurs — all within a relaxed and interactive setting.
Importantly, participants do not need a finished product to take part. The event actively encourages those at the concept or prototype stage to share their work and benefit from early feedback.
The evening begins with an informal adult Tech Jam session and networking at 6 p.m., followed by a curated series of short demos at 7 p.m., giving participants the opportunity to present and engage directly with the audience.
Tech Cornwall and Canopy Community are particularly keen to hear from:
- Early-stage startups and founders
- Digital and tech professionals
- Students and graduates entering the sector
- Individuals developing new products or services
Places to demo are limited, and those interested are encouraged to register their interest as soon as possible.
The event is also open to attendees who want to engage with Cornwall’s growing tech community, gain insight into emerging ideas, and explore potential collaborations.
