Engaging, fun, and free monthly workshops that help kids build their tech confidence at venues across Cornwall.
Hosted each month at tech-friendly venues across Cornwall, each session brings together passionate volunteers from the local industry who are ready to guide and inspire the next generation of tech creators.
They’re here to help young learners gain valuable skills, solve real problems, and make friends with shared interests. Parents are encouraged to join in the fun, too – gain insight into the tech world, discover resources to use at home, and support your child as they embark on this rewarding journey.

Each Cornwall Tech Jam is designed to be informal, fun, and full of discovery:
- Hands-on Coding & Electronics: Kids can try their hand at coding, circuit building, and more.
- Guidance & Resources: Our friendly volunteers offer expert advice on ongoing projects and suggest resources to continue learning at home.
- A Great Day Out – Completely Free! No need to book – just turn up and jump into the world of tech! Plus, all our venues offer free parking.

Building tech confidence
The sessions encourage young learners to experiment, collaborate, and learn through play—skills that translate directly into the classroom and future careers.
With guidance from enthusiastic volunteers and real industry professionals, children gain confidence in their abilities while discovering how technology works in the real world, making Tech Jam a powerful stepping-stone into STEM learning.
Increasing access to new technologies
Tech Jam workshops for young people are a great way to increase access to tech beyond that which is provided at home and in schools. They help nurture the development of essential digital literacy skills and build an understanding of how to use more complex devices and software, whilst developing project skills.
Exposure to coding techniques, hands-on access to robotics, and being creative with technology fosters logical thinking, problem-solving, and perseverance.
