FutureDotNow, the UK’s leading coalition for essential digital skills in the workforce, today launches ‘Learning that clicks’, a landmark report developed in partnership with the Behavioural Insights Team and supported by the Department for Science, Innovation and Technology.
This new report is a strategic resource for employers, revealing what truly motivates workers to improve their digital skills, the barriers that hold them back, and the proven strategies that make upskilling programmes succeed. It offers 15 clear recommendations for designing impactful digital skills initiatives – nine strongly backed by evidence, six showing promise, and four flagged as ineffective.
Recent data shows UK industry would see an annual profitability boost of £8.5 billion from building the essential digital skills of the workforce and the UK economy could see an annual increase of more than £23 billion p.a. This report is an important new tool for supercharging digital skills across all sectors.
