Following on from the success of the first South West Esports Festival in 2022, the tournament is back – and organisations from all corners of the South West are invited to take part.
Regional heats will be held throughout the region, hosted by Bridgwater & Taunton College (Wednesday 15th February), Cornwall College (Thursday 16th February), Exeter College (Thursday 16th February), City College Plymouth (Friday 17th February), South Gloucestershire and Stroud College (Friday 31st March), followed by a final in Exeter.
The tournament will involve the game Rocket League, and be open to corporate teams whatever their skill level, from esports newbie to seasoned veteran.

What is Esports?
If you haven’t heard of Esports, where have you been? Esports, short for electronic sports, is a globally popular form of competition using video games. It’s a fast-growing global industry with a global revenue of over $1bn and an audience of 474m in 2021, according to Newzoo.
With large scale competitions taking place across the world and big prize money to be won, it is watched by millions of fans. It has even been tipped for inclusion in the Olympic Games.
How can you get involved?
Enter a Team
The event promises to be great fun, as well as a great way to network with other tech companies throughout the region.
Enter a team of up to 3 people from your organisation and attend the nearest college to you for the planned heat. The top three teams from each heat will go through to the final, hosted by Exeter College at their flagship Digital and Data Centre during May half term.
Sponsor the festival
The 5 colleges have more then 35,000 students between them and with enhanced media interest this is a great opportunity to get your brand out there.
