Join CSATT, TECgirls, and Cornwall’s Digital Skills Partnership for a space tech extravaganza afternoon!
We’ll be hosting a free afternoon of space, technology, engineering, and creativity on Thursday 3rd November. Launch your own rocket, build your own robot, try out virtual reality, watch space films, and more!
For the younger ones, we’ll have fun and exciting activities to take part in.
For the adults, we’ll have a range of space and tech companies to chat to, and a panel discussion on how to empower women to ‘take up space’ and work in space and tech.
Who is this event for?
This event is aimed women, girls, and non-binary people who are interested in finding out more about careers in space and tech. We also welcome siblings.
Most of the content will be most suitable for children age 8+ although all are welcome. There is no requirement for any previous experience and there will be helpers and mentors to guide everyone through these activities.
All children must be accompanied by an adult. While there will be mentors and helpers at the event, there will not be childcare in place and you will have full responsibility for your children.

Please note – there is no set schedule for the evening. There will be a range of activities for everyone to get involved in!
Space and tech activities will include:
- Make your own solar system
- Paper rocket launching
- Space stop-motion animation
- VR experiences
- Space games design
- Robotics
- Build your own electronics
“Make It Real” Zone
- An informal careers fair for you to meet with local space and tech employers and educators to find out how you can launch your space career

Refreshments
All food and drinks will be provided free of charge. We will have pizza, snacks, and non-alcoholic drinks for all throughout the evening.

This event will be held in the Valency building, Truro College, College Road, Truro, Cornwall, TR1 3XX.
