Become a Digital Skills Trainer

Become a Digital Skills Trainer with Tech Cornwall Career Pathways – a fully funded programme designed to kickstart your journey into teaching tech, with expert-led training, hands-on experience, and the potential to gain a recognised qualification.

If you’re looking for a new direction, a way to share your skills, or to expand your career opportunities, this could be for you.

Applications are open now until 30th April.

What can you expect from the training?

Over four months, you’ll learn how to teach coding in a fun and accessible way, then put it into practice by delivering beginners workshops both in-person (involving robot dogs!) and online.

The programme is delivered flexibly online and is designed to fit around work and other commitments.

You’ll turn the skills you already have into confidence in the classroom.

The Career Pathways programme includes:

  •  Expert-led training: Join our in-person workshop in May to build your teaching toolkit. The rest of your training will be delivered online, so you can learn flexibly around other commitments.
  • Paid experience: Deliver a fun, supportive coding session for beginners in June
  • A professional qualification: You’ll have the option to study for a recognised teaching award – fully funded
  • Peer support: You’ll be part of a small, friendly group learning together
