Members of Software Cornwall attended the Cornwall Careers Show at the Royal Cornwall Showground in October 2015. The event saw 4500 students from all over Cornwall come together to meet potential employers in the county and experience some “have a go” activities to get a taste of their industries.
We thought it was important to attend so Software Cornwall could inspire and inform the students about careers in digital engineering.
Bluefruit, Packetship, Cornwall College, Being Agile, Headforwards, Flowmoco and Mymedialab all joined forces to enable students to experience some software engineering as well as talk about career opportunities in the sector and career pathways.
Experiences included, robotics, traffic light programming, 3D printing, Raspberry pi programming, minecraft coding and video streaming with over 300 students having a go, and over 1000 software cornwall stickers given out!
