Microtest scoops Innovation of the Year Award
Microtest has been awarded ‘Innovation of the Year’ at the prestigious Cornwall Business Awards, held at St Mellion International last night.
This is the second year running that Microtest has won the award.
Commenting on the company’s achievement, Kim Conchie, Chief Executive of Cornwall Chamber of Commerce, said: “Microtest continues to wow!”
The innovation award was for their pioneering work on Planned Care. This is a revolutionary new software system for sharing a patient’s care plan across organisations, including hospitals, GPs, social services, care homes, and the ambulance service. It gives carers immediate, secure access to vital records on a patient’s care plan.
Planned Care is the latest development within Microtest’s ‘Open Futures’ range, a suite of innovative products that aim to improve patient care through transformational ICT.

Microtest was also recently named IT Provider of the Year in the national General Practice Awards scheme.
