LumiraDx Care Solutions celebrates its 20th anniversary on Tuesday 28 November! - Tech Cornwall

LumiraDx Care Solutions, based in Cornwall (formerly Sullivan Cuff Software) and home of INRstar, the UK’s leading software for anticoagulation management, celebrates its 20th anniversary on Tuesday 28 November. The Camborne-based company provides health management software to over 2,700 NHS locations across the UK, supporting over 300,000 patients. The business was originally founded in Cornwall in 1997 by four healthcare experts. Their vision was to deliver technology solutions to support GPs and healthcare providers for safer, more consistent patient care.

The company has come a long way from its original beginnings – where meetings were held every Saturday afternoon in the local pub – to having recently been acquired by the wider LumiraDx global group. Two of the four founding members, Dr Treharne Jones and Dr Mark Sullivan maintain a key involvement in the company.

LumiraDx Care Solutions now has 49 members of staff and continues to grow from its base at the Tolvaddon Energy Park. Most recently, its engage supported self-care app won Highly Commended in the national Building Better Healthcare Awards. The talent and expertise of the company were also recognised in 2015 when they won the national Ehealth Insider (EHI) award for the Excellence in Business Healthcare Analytics category.

Dr Mark Sullivan, Medical Director at LumiraDx says: “We’ve really come a long way from where we started in 1997 and – as a founding member – I am delighted with the way the company has grown and continues to grow. We have a fantastic team of very talented individuals and we’re so pleased to be leading the way and flying the flag for Cornwall in our very own Silicon Valley.”
