Microtest scoops major national award - Tech Cornwall

Microtest has been named ‘IT Provider of the Year’ at the prestigious national awards event, the General Practice Awards 2017. They were presented with their award at a glittering ceremony at the Royal Lancaster, London on 30th November after their team beat off stiff competition from companies across the country. This is Microtest’s fourth award this year, having won Family Business of the Year at Western Morning News Business Awards 2017 and Cornwall Business Awards 2017 for Best Family Business and Business Innovation of the Year.

With offices in Bodmin and Plymouth, Microtest has been developing clinical software systems for GP practices for over 30 years and has grown to become one of the leading suppliers to the NHS. This is a demanding field which requires IT providers to constantly innovate and improve their products, in order to meet the changing needs of NHS practices.

Every year the General Practice Awards attract hundreds of entries from all over the UK and they are recognised as one of the most important awards schemes for the healthcare industry in the country. This award seeks to recognise the leading IT provider who has made a significant impact in 2017 by delivering innovation in technology and the integration of IT services into healthcare. To win, Microtest had to demonstrate that it had delivered outstanding levels of customer service and prove that its software had led to significant improvements in the quality of patient care.

In addition to its healthcare IT services, Microtest also provides IT and communications services and retail to businesses and homes.
Chris Netherton, MD of Microtest, said:

“We feel really honoured to receive this award. Microtest is a family-owned business and we pride ourselves on delivering innovative solutions backed up by outstanding personal service to all our customers. This award is a wonderful tribute to the hard work, commitment and dedication of all our amazing team. This is a period of rapid growth and innovation for Microtest, so it is a very exciting time for our business.”
