October Open Day with Plymouth University Students - Tech Cornwall

On the 9th October, the current intake of Plymouth University Computing students will be joining Software Cornwall at the Pool Innovation Centre (PIC). Following a morning of visits to businesses from PIC, the Gateway Business Park and the surrounding area we’ll be hosting ‘lightning talks and lunch’.

The students are visiting the area to discover the innovative work happening in the world of technology right here in Cornwall and the amazing support on offer in the region. They’ll be looking to discover what attributes and qualities it takes to become successful in software development and related roles.

With 57% of students expected to stay in the region following graduation, this is a great chance to meet potential future hires as well as mingle with Software Cornwall members.

How to get involved

There are three ways you can get involved with the day:

  • Open your doors to groups of students for a tour
  • Give a short lunchtime lightning talk on one of your amazing projects
  • Join us at lunchtime and network with students and Software Cornwall members
