Lead : Steve Amor (maker of Bert and Ernie the Mission to Mars robots and the Scratch Traffic Lights)

Come along to Cornwall’s First Tech Jam. Bring your own Raspberry Pi or come and play with own of ours. You can learn how to switch it on, or join in with building a robot.

Please note this is an event in progress, please register via Mitingu above or via below meetup group event – all welcome

Suggested Themes:

  • Minecraft – three Pi’s networked running Minecraft with some programming exercises.
  • Physical Computing – three Pi’s with breadboard and an LED. Or two Pi’s with the full size traffic lights.
  • Surgery – for people having problems with their own Pi’s and/or wanting to learn more about them.
  • Show & Tell – for students to show off any of their own projects / programs (don’t have to be Pi based).
  • Robot Worksop – build a robot.
  • Robots and iPads – the colleges Pi robots.

Resources:

  • Mike has:
    • V2 Pi’s
    • The traffic lights
  • Lorraine has:
    • the integrated keyboards/mice/monitors for use with the Pi’s (how long do the batteries last given this is an all day event)
    • the robots and iPads (do these need charging up and checking/testing)
  • Kev Bath will order/bring:
    • Robot kits to build

Support required:

  • Volunteers (Peter Mellet has said he’ll help.  Kevin showed a lot of interest).  I’ll put a request out on SLACK and CMDG.
  • Printing out work sheets.

Opportunities:

  • Bert and Ernie promote Mission to Mars 2016?

This is on CDMG as a meet up – suggest conversations on there to progress details
