About this Event

This event will showcase a robot with huge potential for the health and social care market. F&P will present the Lio robot (live demo), a friendly, personal robot with multifunctional arm. Lio may have potential in care settings, to provide entertainment, exercise, collect objects from floor, provide hydration reminders and deliver drinks. Lio may have potential in hospitals through delivering documents/samples and through disinfecting door handles. Following the presentation there will be an open discussion with attendees.

Suitable for: Decision makers in health and social care such as healthcare managers, innovators, businesses, clinical specialists along with researchers interested in acquiring the robot for trialling and evaluation.

The Meet the World Online Series aims to facilitate discussion about eHealth solutions across continents. These taster sessions are opportunities to meet organisations and businesses around the globe to explore how technology can improve health and wellbeing. The event series is suitable for: health and care professionals, SMEs, local council, academics, commissioners, patient representative groups and more.

Delivered by EPIC, The Meet the World series of events are fully-funded webinars. Funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), EPIC is a £4 million project led by the University of Plymouth’s Centre for Health Technology. EPIC provides sector-specific support for local businesses in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly to develop new eHealth products and services that will not only create new jobs and support the local economy, but create truly useful innovations to improve quality of life and boost wellbeing for many.
