GamePlay @ Launchpad - Tech Cornwall

Have you ever wanted to be a games tester?

Would you like to try locally made games months (or even years) before they’re released?

Are you free on the afternoon of the 6th September?

Then we’ve got the perfect event for you!

Cornwall’s tech community is invited to join us at Launchpad from 1pm on Friday the 6th of September for ‘GamePlay’. The event, a partnership between Software Cornwall and Falmouth University’s own startup incubator will allow you to peer behind the scenes of some of Cornwall burgeoning games development companies. This event is open to both members and non-members.

Launchpad is currently working with 6 games development studios to build innovative and often groundbreaking experiences for the current and next generation of video game systems. By attending this event, you’ll get to be a vital part of the development process by becoming a games tester. Keep on reading to find out which games you’ll be able to dive into over the afternoon, many of which were showcased at July’s ‘Pitch Up at the Pad’ gathering.

The afternoon of games testing is the perfect opportunity to connect with the broader digital community, with conversations being sparked by a shared passion. Complimentary tea, coffee and soft drinks will be available to attendees to enjoy.

Launchpad is an innovative postgraduate incubation and acceleration programme. It is part funded by the European Regional Development Fund. Based at Falmouth University, it brings together teams of software engineers, digital creatives and business people to solve industry challenges – taking on briefs from companies from Twitch to Greenman Gaming, and Imerys to the BBC.
